FSA Institute’s Past Activities
(July 2019-June 2020)
The FSA Institute’s primary activities in business year 2019 (July 2019-June 2020) were as follows.
- Compiling the results of research conducted by Research Fellows and Special Research Fellows of the FSA Institute into six research papers, and publishing them as the FSA Institute’s Discussion Papers.
- The FSA Institute supported organizing an international symposium "FinTech Summit 2019" (Subtitle: FinTech 2018-Into the New Era) on September 5, 2019, held as part of the "FIN/SUM 2019" co-hosted by the FSA and Japan Nikkei Inc. The symposium had a wide range of participants, including experts from academia, tech-community and practitioners, and financial authorities, and lively discussions were held on the theme "Multi-Stakeholder Cooperation for a New Financial System."
- The FSA Institute provided 64 training courses to FSA personnel, with a focus on providing expert training on the financial system and practices.
